This privacy policy explains how Grünig-SignTronic AG (hereinafter "we", "us", or "our") handles data in its applications (hereinafter "App"). Protecting your privacy is important to us. This App does not collect, transmit, or process any personal user data. All data entered by the user is stored exclusively locally on the device.
Data Collection and Use
The App does not collect any personal data from users. All information you enter into the App, such as text or settings, is stored exclusively on your device and used solely to provide the App's functionality. This data is neither shared with us nor with third parties.
Automatic Update Checks
The App automatically checks for available updates on startup and can also be triggered manually by the user. During this process, the App connects to an external server (e.g., GitHub Releases API or a download server) solely to compare the currently installed version with the latest available version. No personal data, device information, usage data, or any other user-related information is collected, transmitted, or stored during this process. Only publicly available version information is retrieved. If the device is offline, the update check is silently skipped without any error or data transmission.
Logging
The App may collect certain logs to improve functionality and diagnose problems. These logs are stored exclusively locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third parties. Users can delete these logs at any time in the App settings.
Device Information for Licensing
The App may read device-related information for licensing purposes. This information is only processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or shared with third parties.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The App does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies to track user behavior or collect information.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data stored locally on your device. This includes measures to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or theft of your data. Passwords and secrets entered in the App are encrypted using industry-standard algorithms (e.g., AES-256) and stored securely on your device. However, please note that the security of data on electronic devices can never be fully guaranteed.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over its retention. Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device. Logs can be deleted independently via the App settings.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, no special measures for children's data are required.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connection made by the App is the automatic update check described above, which does not transmit any user data.
Deleting Data
Users can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App or by using the data management options within the App settings. If you have an account associated with the App, you can request its deletion by contacting us at [email protected]. Depending on the App, accounts can also be deleted directly via the App settings. We will remove all relevant data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect legal requirements or changes within our company. We will update the effective date at the top of this document when changes are made. Please review this statement regularly to ensure you are aware of our privacy practices.
